On the 29th March, Kate, Dave and Kieran got down to Country Paradise Parklands to warm up the coasts biggest tree planting day with their unique blend of original experimental acoustic folk music! Having strong roots in the field of environmental science, Leopold's Treat are known for their support of events that develop community awareness around conservation, sustainability and the environment. Heres what front lady Kate Leopold had to say:
"It is a real treat to work with Naomi Edwards and the team from Gold Coast Catchments, to step outside my own role as a science educator and be able to share music at this kind of event, as well as getting amongst it all, planting some trees and talking to the people there. This kind of event is a unique collaboration between community, local environmental groups and artists like us and local artist Elysium Greene, who spent the morning painting a mural to represent the tree planting day. Somewhat of an holistic approach to encourage people to give back to their environment and enjoy what it has to offer."
